Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system having the capability of enhancing waterproofing and heat releasing functions, and allowing the application of a lightweight structure.
SOLUTION: An igniter box 2 is mounted on the apparatus rear body 3 of an apparatus body 1 via mounting studs 54. Thus, the apparatus rear body 1 can be provided with the igniter box 2 under the application of a simple configuration. Also, a transmission line 61 to connect a ballast 53 and a high brightness discharge lamp 18 to each other is led through the communication hole 58 of a transmission line leading stud 56. A configuration is thereby simple and a lightweight structure is provided. Furthermore, the transmission line 61 does not need to be positioned outside, and a waterproofing function is thereby ensured. Also. the apparatus rear body 3 as well as the igniter box 2 is formed out of die-cast aluminum. As a result, the apparatus rear body 3 and the igniter box 2 are thermally connected to each other via the mounting studs 54 and the transmission line leading stud 5b, and a surface area including a radiation fin 62 becomes large, thereby enhancing a heat releasing effect as well.
