To give flexibility to a lighting tool, making it usable as a tool for various kinds of vehicles and enhance versatility, as well as to enable a lamp unit to move independently from each other, along two planes being orthogonal to each other so as to enable one to operate, whatever state the other may be in.

The lighting tool 10 for a vehicle is provided with a lamp unit 30 irradiating beams by a required pattern frontward, and a double-axis actuator 50, having a first driving mode for making the lamp unit turn along one of the two planes crossing each other, and a second driving mode for making the lamp unit turn along the other plane. The double-axis actuator is provided with a single output part 540, making the lamp unit turn along the two planes, and a driving part (consisting of driving sources 550 and moving parts 561) diving the output part, and the lamp unit is so structured as to be able to turn along each plane, irrespective of its turning positions along the two planes.
