照明制御のための装置及び方法が本明細書で説明される。照明ユニット１００、２００、３００、４００、５００は、照明設備／器具のソケット１０６、２０６、３０６に挿入されるように適合されたベース１０４、２０４、３０４、４０４を含む。照明ユニットは、少なくとも第１の方向に光を放出する１つ以上の光源１０８、２０８、３０８、４０８、５０８と、１つ以上の反射要素１１０、２１０、３１０、４１０、５１０、６１０と、を含む。１つ以上の反射要素は、放出された光の第１の空間部分１１４、２１４、３１４、４１４、５１４がアパーチャを通過して第１の方向に進んでいく当該アパーチャ１１２、２１２、３１２、４１２、５１２、６１２を画定し、第２の空間部分１１６、２１６、３１６、４１６、５１６の放出された光が第１の方向に進んでいくのを防ぎ、第２の空間部分の光の少なくとも一部を、第１の方向とは異なる第２の方向に反射させるように配置されている。
