Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively receive the lightning current generated by a ground discharge so as to prevent the generation of secondary disaster and thirdly disaster by providing a main conical rod, which is provided in the top of a conductive support and of which tip is tapered at an acute angle, and an auxiliary rod, which has a height lower than that of the main rod and which has a tapered tip.
SOLUTION: A lightning rod 1 is formed of a conductive support 12, a main conical rod 11, which is provided in the top of the support 12 and of which tip is tapered at an acute angle, and an auxiliary rod, which is provided outside of the main rod 11 with a space separated by a bowl-like receiver part 13 and which is concentrically formed with the main rod 11 and which has a height lower than that of the main rod and which has a tapered tip. Peripheral outer wall of the bowl-like receiver part 13 is divided to plural parts so as to form each taper part 14 as an auxiliary rod. Since the main rod 11 is formed into a taper part, it also has an effect for absorbing the lightning current. Since the taper parts 14 as auxiliary rod respectively have a tapered tip, it has a function for assisting the dielectric effect.
