This limit switch is equipped with a switch unit 15 built in a switch housing 3 constituting a switch body 1, a rotary shaft 6 turnably supported by a head housing 5 removably mounted on the switch housing 3, and an operating plunger 13A installed movably in a direction normal to an axis (c) of the rotary shaft 6 in response to a cam part 9 provided on the rotary shaft. The switch unit 15 is provided with a plurality of side-by-side arranged microswitches 16 each having a push-button 16a installed such that they can be pressingly operated in a direction normal to the moving direction of the operating plunger 13A, and the push-buttons 16a of the microswitches 16 are pressed by interlocking with the moving plunger 13A, thereby causing a plurality of switching operations.
