Abstract:
To provide a limited reflection type sensor that can expand a detection area at a short distance side while maintaining a long distance side range of the detection area.SOLUTION: A limited reflection type sensor irradiates an object detection area with emission light from a light emitting unit (14a) through a lens for emission light (121) and receives, with a light receiving unit (14b), reflected light from an object present in the object detection area through a lens for reflected light (122). The lens for emission light (121) or the lens for reflected light (122) has a first surface facing the object detection area and a second surface at an opposite side of the first surface, and has a toroidal lens area (121b or 122b) at a closer side to the object detection area on the second surface and a concave lens area (121a or 122a) at a farther side from the object detection area. A boundary position between the toroidal lens area (121b or 122b) and the concave lens area (121a or 122a) is different from a center position of the lens for emission light or the lens for reflected light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
