PURPOSE: To operate easily an extraction tower at the max. passing quantity by monitoring the extract of a liq.-liq. extraction tower by an on-line turbidity analyzer and modifying tower operation when a sample temp. is equal to or above the temp. of the tower bottom and the presence of two phases is recognized.
CONSTITUTION: A raw material filler is supplied to an extraction tower 2 through a line 1 and a solvent is supplied to the upper part of the extraction tower 2 through a line 3. An extraction residue phase is recovered through a line 4 and sent to a recovery apparatus 5 to remove the solvent through a line 6 and is recycled to the extraction tower 2 through the line 3. The extraction residue in which the solvent is removed is recovered through a line 7, an extraction phase is recovered from the tower 2 through a line 8. A first temp. detector TD1 for measuring the tower bottom temp. is installed in the line 8, a sample of a slide current is constantly taken out from the line 8 through a line 9 to send it to a circuit 10 of the analyzer system. When the temp. of the sample is equal to or above the temp. of the tower bottom and an extraction sample is detected in a second phase and the presence of carryunder is measured, correcting means is started to correct an extraction condition of the extraction tower 2.
