Title:
ON-LINE CHEMICAL REACTION UNIT AND ANALYSIS SYSTEM THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004283083
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a chemical reaction method and a chemical reaction unit capable of making a chemical reaction treatment of a minute amount of a biological sample with low loss and also capable of increasing the collision frequency between molecules undergoing chemical reaction for seeking sample loss reduction and treating the sample in a short time, in order to solve the problems that in a batch-based enzyme reaction, sample loss is inevitable, and long reaction time has been inevitable in the conventional techniques of seeking sample loss reduction.

The chemical reaction unit works as follows: A tubular reactor 1 is immobilized with a chemical substance and packed with a buffer solution. A predetermined volume of air is sucked via an air inlet port 3 and a sample liquid is then sucked, and furthermore a predetermined volume of air is sucked. Air, the sample liquid and the air are transported to the reactor 1 successively. Thus, the reactor 1 is filled with the sample liquid, both ends of the sample liquid are sandwiched in between the air for preventing the sample liquid from mixing with the buffer solution. The sample liquid undergoes reciprocating motion at a predetermined flow, thus promoting a highly efficient chemical reaction.
