Abstract:
PURPOSE: To perform on-line correction on a flowmeter without installing any large-scale loop pipeline system containing a reference flowmeter or pipe prober by providing processes 1 and 2 for calculating leaking positions and a comparing and calculating process.
CONSTITUTION: By not inputting a diffusing flow rate from a diffusing valve V1 (V2) when another diffusing valve V2 (V1) is closed even when the diffusing flow rate is measured in a leaking position calculating process 1 (2), the diffusion is regarded as leakage and a leaking position X1 (X2) is calculated. In a correcting value comparing and calculating process, the calculated leaking positions X1 and X2 do not coincide with the positions L1 and L1+L2 of the valves V1 and V2, since flow rates F1 and F2 are measured values and contain errors. Consequently, when flow rates (F1+ε1) and (F2+ε2) for correcting the measured values F1 and F2 for errors ε1 and ε2 are used, the leaking positions X1 and X2 become equal to the positions L1 and L1+L2. Therefore, two formulae are obtained from the processes 1 and 2. In the comparing and calculating processes, the correcting values ε1 and ε2, are found by resolving the formulae.
