To provide a line section-dividing method for performing a proper line section dividing for a train to be operated.
A line section-dividing processing section 20 determines whether or not a train to be operated can be carried-in in each line section when the train travels over two line sections and the line section can not be uniquely determined and sets a line section on a carry-in side as the line section of the train when a carry-in relationship comes to a recognition. The line section-dividing processing section 20 sets a line section on either one side before or after a specified line section as a line section in the specified section by referring to the line sections before and after the set specified section when the specified section of a plurality of sections in a train diagram belongs to both of two line sections. Further, the line section-dividing processing section 20 determines whether or not the train can be carried in each section when a plurality of the set line sections exist in each section of the train diagram and performs line section-dividings unified to the line section on the carry-in side when the carry-in relationship comes to a recognition.
