To improve attachment accuracy of an armature shaft of a motor of a linear actuator, reduce noise level, and suppress generation of periodic sound, abnormal noise, and the like.
A linear actuator 1 comprises: a worm 36; a shaft 26 rotated in forward and reserve directions by a motor through a worm gear 41; a screw nut 29 threadably mounted on the shaft 26; and a piston tube 10 that is secured to the screw nut 29 and moves back and forth with the rotation of the shaft 26. A housing 5 of the linear actuator 1 comprises: frames 15 and 16 divided along an armature shaft 35 of the motor 34 and in a direction parallel to the piston tube 10. The motor 34 is attached to the frame 15, and bearings 85 and 86 that support the armature shaft 35 rotatably are arranged together in the frame 15.
