Abstract:
To provide a linear driving type elevator having thrust, strength, and flexibility higher than ever before and a method of manufacturing the linear driving type elevator.SOLUTION: The linear driving type elevator includes a car, a counterweight, a main rope connected to the car and the counterweight, and a primary conductor fixed in a hoistway serving as a passage of the car. In the linear driving type elevator, a main rope 4a is formed by a laminate of a plate-like conductor member 9 extending along a longitudinal direction of the main rope and a plate-like high-strength member 8, which is laminated on a surface of the conductor member and has the strength higher than that of the conductor member, in that the conductive member is arranged to face the primary conductor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
