To provide a linear guide device having a long lifetime of running, consisting of a guide rail having a rolling groove for a rolling element and a slider fitted loosely on it and to make relative movement in the axial direction through rolling of the rolling element.

The linear guide device 100 is composed of the guide rail 3 having a rolling groove 14 for rolling element and a slider 4 fitted loosely on it and to make relative movement in the axial direction through rolling of the rolling element, wherein permanent magnets are installed on the surface of the guide rail 3 and the bottom surface of the slider 4 in such an arrangement that the mating surfaces of the magnets having the same polarity (N-N or S-S), and the load applied on the guide rail is decreased by the repulsive forces of the two magnets, and thereby the lifetime of the linear guide device is prolonged.
