Abstract:
To provide a linear light source apparatus for a reading device, the apparatus having linear light sources comprising LED light sources and light guides, which can adjust visual colors of the LED light sources individually having different visual color and accurately reading a printed matter using various kinds of inks and coping with different reading objects such as paper and films.
Two linear light sources respectively having the LED light sources and the light guides having primary reflecting surfaces and secondary reflecting surfaces are arranged in opposition. Reflecting light from secondary reflection of one light guide is emitted to the secondary reflecting surface of the other light guide.
