Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear light source device capable of securing a wide effective irradiation region.SOLUTION: A linear light source device comprises: a bar-like light-guide body 3; and an LED arranged so as to be opposed to an end surface of the light-guide body in a longitudinal direction. A main reflection part 4 comprises a plurality of reflective element groups 41 and 42 each configured by arranging a plurality of reflective elements 41a, 42a formed in a circumferential direction of the light-guide body, in an axial direction. The reflective element groups are mutually displaced in the circumferential direction. The light-emitting elements in the adjacent reflective element groups are mutually displaced in the axial direction of the light-guide body, and have a region overlapped with each other in the circumferential direction. The linear light source device has such a structure that a wide effective irradiation region can be secured while keeping uniformity of cross-sectional light distribution on a document reading surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
