To provide a linear lighting device that efficiently utilizes light irradiated from a light-emitting part so as to form high-illuminance linear illuminating light.
The linear lighting device is configured as follows. An optical member 3 converts light irradiated from a light-emitting part 12, arranged in a linear shape having a desired length, into linear light. The optical member is configured by including: a light-guide part 20 that extends while corresponding to the light-emitting part 12 and includes a light-incident face 21; a cylindrical lens part 22 integrally formed on the light exit side, opposite to the light-incident face 21, of the light-guide part; and each reflective face 23 integrally formed on both sides, continuous to the light-incident face 21, in the short-side direction of the light-guide part 20. The cylindrical lens part 22 linearly focuses light mainly irradiated at a narrow angle less than a prescribed angle as the irradiation angle in the short-side direction out of the light made incident to the light-guide part 20 after being irradiated from the linear light-emitting part 12. It also focuses light mainly irradiated at a wide angle more than or equal to the prescribed angle as the irradiation angle in the short-side direction at the focal point F of the cylindrical lens part 22 by total reflection of each reflective face 23.
