To provide a linear motion guide device having excellent durability and unlikely to be damaged even if it is driven at a high speed.
The linear motion guide device is equipped with a guide rail 1 furnished at its outer surface with a rolling element raceway groove 10 extending in the axial direction, a slider 2 having a rolling element raceway groove 11 confronting the raceway groove 10 of the guide rail 1 and attached to the guide rail 1 in such a way as capable of relative movement in the axial direction, a plurality of rolling elements 3 put in a rolling path 14 formed between the two raceway grooves 10 and 11 in such an arrangement as rolling freely, and a rolling element return path 16 to send the rolling elements 3 from one end of the rolling path 14 to its other end. The return path 16 is composed of a straight portion 13 stretching in the axial direction and a curved portion 15 to generate communication between the straight portion 13 and the rolling path 14. The straight portion 13 is located outside the position to make inscription with the outer surface 2a of the slider 2.
