PURPOSE: To reduce the occupied space of a linear motor by providing a guide wheel with the circular groove of a longitudinal axis in parallel with a moving element main body on the front and rear ends of the moving element, and fitting its guide wheel to a guide rail protruded inward from the side wall of a curtain rail.

CONSTITUTION: A linear motor 3 is integrated together with a curtain runner into a a curtain rail 1 of a channel shape, and by connecting the runner for hanging a curtain to a moving element 5 of the linear motor 3, the curtain is driven to open and close. Also, a stator 4 is laid on its top part along the rail 1, and the moving element 5 is opposed to the lower face side of the stator 4 and guided and supported. Also, a guide wheel 53 with the circular groove of the longitudinal axis is provided in parallel with the moving element main body on the front and rear ends of the moving element 5, and also, the wheel 53 is fitted to a guide rail 11 protruded inward from a side wall of the rail 1. Moreover, by supporting magnetic suction force for working between the stator 4 and the moving element 5 at the time of running, between the wheel 53 and the rail plate 11, the moving element 5 is moved and guided.
