Title:
LINEAR MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61258665
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the stability and to increase the thrust of a linear motor by disposing two sets of induction coils at a stator, and forming matrix grooves on the opposed surfaces of the stator and a movable element. CONSTITUTION:Matrix grooves 10A are formed on the surface of the stator 10 of a linear motor, and the first 3-phase coils Ux-Wx are mounted in the prescribed direction on the grooves 10A and the part 10B surrounded by the grooves. The second 3-phase induction coils Uy-Wy are disposed in the grooves 10A perpendicularly to the first coils Ux-Wx, and wound in the grooves 10A of the directions. Further, a movable element 20 made of a ferromagnetic member 20A and a conductive member 20B is provided oppositely to the stator 10 to form a linear motor. Matrix grooves are similarly formed to the stator 10 on the member 20A. Thus, when the coils Ux-Wx are energized, the element 20 can be moved in the direction of an arrow (x) and, when the coils Uy-Wy are energized, the element 20 can be moved stably in the direction of an arrow (y).
