Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make the fluctuation of magnetic flux approximately uniform, by a method wherein a stator having a cylindrical center duct which is matched in a vertical direction is provided, and the center duct is surrounded by a coil system provided in slots. CONSTITUTION: A pump P has an outside stator T and an inside center core K. The stator T has a center duct D which is surrounded by two alternate structures over the whole length. A group of magnetic layer-built rings L perform two functions in the pump, provide a magnetic field in the longitudinal direction, and are fixed to the center duct D of the stator T with keys. The layer-built rings L react against the dynamic load of sodium which is applied to the pump through the magnetic field, and remove the heat from coils. Further, coils C are held between the layer-built structures L, and the core K is provided at the center of the duct D. With this constitution, a toroidal magnetic field bridges the spacing of a cylindrical gap pressure-feed volume formed between the duct D and the outside of the core K to induce the pressure-feed action.
