Title:
LINEAR STROKE SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10318706
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a linear stroke sensor which can expand a range in which an output voltage is changed linearly so as to correspond to a change in the position of a moving body, regarding the linear stroke sensor which is provided with two sets of coils and with a magnetoelectric conversion element and which detects the position of the moving body which is moved linearly.

A linear stroke sensor is provided with a cylindrical coil unit 3 which comprises a first coil 32 and a second coil 33, and with a magnetoelectric conversion element 4 which is supported at the inside of the coil unit 3 so as to be freely movable in the lengthwise direction of the coil unit 3. In the coil unit 3, the first coil and the second coil are wound in such a way that the number of windings arranged in a direction perpendicular to the lengthwise direction is nearly uniform between one end 3a and the other end 3b, that the number of windings of the first coil 32 is decreased gradually toward the other end from one end of the coil unit 3, and that the number of windings of the second coil 33 is increased gradually toward the other end from one end of the coil unit 3.
