Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a conveyor for transporting linen, which is free from risk that the side face of its clamp runs against a conveyor rail and stops and also free from wear even though an eccentric load is applied while the clamp grasping a cloth piece is running.
CONSTITUTION: A conveyor for transporting linen is equipped with two pairs of wheels 39, which are borne by a hirizontal shaft fixed to the body 136 of a clamp and which are in vertical direction guided by a pair of mating side rails 131a to make guidance while restricting motions in the vertical direction, and two pairs of wheels 144 which are borne by a vertical shaft 143 and guided by one set of mating rails 131b to make guidance of sideways motions, whereby the clamp 135 is prevented during operation from running against a driving conveyor rail 131 or free conveyor rail 132 or from rubbing to cause wear.
