Abstract:
To provide a liner imposing method for a steering device that efficiently imposes a liner for guiding a slide of a rack shaft.SOLUTION: A second liner 35 is housed in a packet part 51 of a liner mount guide 50 outside a rack housing 20 (preparation process). The liner mount guide 50 is inserted into a link opening part 26, linking an inner space 21S of a cylindrical main body part 21 of the rack housing 20 to a rack guide housing hole 24, through an end part opening part of the cylindrical main body part 21, and the second liner 35 is moved to a mounting standby position opposed to a holding recessed part 27 of the link opening part 26 (moving process). The second liner 35 at the mounting standby position is moved by a liner moving mechanism 80 and mounted on the holding recessed part 27 (mounting process).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
