Abstract:

To provide a linered tape applicator that maintains a given tension for a tape and a liner in a tape applying process.

A linered tape applicator includes a tensioning wheel having a peripheral surface, a tape path, and a liner path. The tape path has a tape feed portion extending to the peripheral surface, a tape wrap portion forming a first wrap angle relative to the peripheral surface, and a tape applying portion extending from the peripheral surface to a tape applicator roll. The liner path includes a linered tape portion corresponding to the tape path, a liner wrap portion forming a second wrap angle relative to the peripheral surface, a liner tensioning portion extending from the tape applicator roll to the liner wrap portion, and a liner rewind portion extending from the liner wrap portion to a liner rewind element.
