To provide a lining material for integrally molded resin shoes which has favorable moisture absorbing and discharging performance, and which provides a foot-contact surface without becoming sticky.
Fibers having a water absorption property such as natural fibers or water absorption-treated chemical fibers and fibers having a cross sectional surface of a cross shape or L-shape and having a water diffusing property are needle-punched to form a composite fiber layer 2, and on the foot-contact surface side of the composite fiber layer 2, a hydrophobic fiber 3 such as acryl or nylon is joined and integrated by quilting or welding to form a lining material 1a. If the hydrophobic fiber layer 3 of the lining material 1a is lined on an outer skin of a slash-molded shoe, setting the fibers on the foot-contact surface side, water content such as sweat passes through the hydrophobic fiber layer 3 is absorbed into the water absorption fibers to be stocked, and diffused through the water diffusing fibers to accelerate vaporization. The hydrophobic fiber layer 3 on the surface side is constantly kept dry to provide coolness.
