Title:
LINING MATERIAL FOR INJECTION MOLDING OF MAGNESIUM OR MAGNESIUM ALLOY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3723874
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the erosion of the inside face of a cylinder to be used at the time of injection-molding an Mg alloy contg. Mg or Al caused by an Mg alloy and to improve the durability of the inside face of the cylinder by executing the lining of a Co alloy having a specified compsn.
SOLUTION: Lining 2 by a Co alloy is formed on the inside face of a cylinder 1 to be used at the time of injection-molding the molten metal of Mg or an Mg alloy contg. a small amt. of Al by an HIP method. As the Co alloy, the one contg., by weight, 0.8 to 4.0% C, 15 to 30% Cr, 5.0 to 15.0% W, 10 to 15% Ni 1.0 to 3.5% B or furthermore contg. 2.0 to 5.0% Si and 1.5 to 3.5% Fe is used. The lining 2 by the Co alloy is excellent in erosion resistance to the molten Mg and molten Al contg. Mg alloy, by which a lining material for injection-molding for Mg alloys furthermore having excellent durability in high temp. use can be obtd.
