Abstract:
To provide a new and safe lipase activity promoter, a cosmetic composition or a food and a beverage.
An extract of Ilexlatifolia Thunb. is confirmed to have promoting action on lipase activity. Accordingly this lipase activity promoter is obtained. This cosmetic composition or food or beverage is obtained. Consequently, the extract of Ilexlatifolia Thunb. has promoting action on lipase activity, inhibitory effect on fats of the skin or the scalp and prophylactic and therapeutic effect on dermatoses of fatty skin (e.g. pimple, seborrhoic eczema, seborrhoic alopecia, dandruffy head, etc.), and is effective for antiaging of the skin and the scalp. The extract of the Ilexlatifolia Thunb. can promote lipolysis and cab reduce surplus body fats.
