To provide a lipid metabolism-improving agent in which the effect that improves the disorder of lipid metabolism of an animal is high by the ingredient of a processed Brasenia schreberi.
Brasenia schreberi is processed and the lipid metabolism-improving agent is manufactured. The lipid metabolism-improving agent decreases the neutral fat value in blood. Moreover, the proportion of the small and dense LDL (sdLDL) that occupies in all LDL is especially decreased. Actually, the lipid metabolism-improving agent decreases the expression of the lipid metabolism related gene of a fatty acid synthesis system and a cholesterol synthesis system at an in vitro experiment. Moreover, the reduction of the molecular weight of LDL cholesterol is suppressed, and sdLDL can be reduced also in a human.
