Title:
LIQUEFYING METHOD OF COAL AND ITS APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS57100187
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To liquefy coal efficiently, by heating a finely pulverized coal slurry under a low pressure, removing gaseous carbon dioxide and steam, and subjecting the slurry to the hydrogenolysis in contact with hydrogen under a high pressure.

CONSTITUTION: A finely pulverized coal slurry 101 is sent to a multistage preheater 104 under an extruding pressure ≤10atm, gradually heated to about 300°C in an intermediate stage fluidized bed 106, and the oxygen in the coal is converted into gases, e.g. gaseous carbon dioxide, steam, etc. The release of the gases is started, and the gases and the slurry are heated to about 400°C just before the start of the liquefying reaction in the bottom high-temperature fluidized bed 107. The gases and high-temperature slurry are then separated in a low-pressure deaerator 120. The slurry is then pressurized to about 300atm in a hydrohoist 124, subjected to the hydrogenolysis in the presence of a catalyst at a high temperature of preferably about 460°C in a liquefying reactor 129 and converted into a product slurry containing a liquefied oil. After releasing the formed gas 131 in a high-pressure deaerator 132, the slurry is fractionated in a distilling column 139 to give the aimed product oil.
