Abstract:
The method involves bringing a liquid into contact with a surface of a test specimen (P) e.g. paper, and calculating the amount of liquid that has been absorbed in the test specimen. A certain amount of liquid is supplied to a liquid chamber unit, such that the amount of liquid which is absorbed by the test specimen leaves the liquid chamber unit, and a representation comprising an indication of the reduction of the amount of liquid in the liquid chamber unit is produced. An independent claim is also included for a device for measuring liquid absorption ability of a material, comprising a liquid chamber unit.
