Abstract:

To obtain a liquid additive reducing insoluble substances mixed in beverages, and improved in milk protein stabilizing properties; and to provide a lactobacillus beverage or an acid milk beverage each using the additive.

The liquid additive contains 0.5-10 wt.% of sodium carboxymethylcellulose, causes ≤100mg/L leavings left on a screen when naturally filtrating the liquid additive using a screen of 200 mesh. The liquid additive has a replacement rate of 0.70-1.10 per glucose residue, and a solution viscosity of 100-5,000 mPa s, and preferably comprises the one filtrated with a deep-layer filtration type filter.
