Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a centrifugal pump which is provided with a suitable characteristic from a motion mechanics point of view of fluid and is for liquid in which all the problems accompanied with liquid density are eliminated, more particularly, for blood circulating externally. CONSTITUTION: An impeller 2 is formed into a disk shape and is provided with a magnet 2a at the inside. On both of the side parts of the magnet 2a, blades 2b which are made to come into contact with liquid are arranged. A main body 1 for holding the impeller 2 is provided with at least one fluid entrance connection part 3 and at least one liquid exit connection part 4. The holding main body 1 is formed into a shape to be attachably/detachably inserted into a seating part formed in a static base part. Within the static base part, at least one magnet is arranged. The magnet within the static base part is located, facing the seating part, and the impeller 2 is revolved by revolving the magnet within the static base part.
