PURPOSE: To provide a liquid chemical container which can distinguish characteristics of a liquid at a glance and prevent the erroneous treatment or the like to the liquid by setting a container main body for storing a liquid chemical and a colorless, transparent auxiliary container section into which a reagent for discriminating the characteristics of the liquid chemical by color is injected.

CONSTITUTION: A colorless and odorless liquid chemical 2 is stored in a liquid chemical container 1 working as a container main body of column type with its upper face open and also with a hollow inside. A sensing section 3 working as an auxiliary container section of fine column type with its upper section open and bottom section closed is formed on the side face of the container 1. The side face of the sensing section 3 is transparent, in which the liquid chemical 2 and a reagent 4 representing the characteristics of the chemical by color are mixed and stored. The characteristics of the liquid chemical 2 are demonstrated outside by the arrangement, and the characteristics of the liquid chemical 2 are sensed easily from outside. The liquid chemical 2, therefore, can be treated properly to prevent the mixture with another chemical having reactivity erroneously or the like.
