To provide a liquid chromatograph provided with a solvent recycling device for recovering a regenerated solvent from a waste liquid generated in gel permeation chromatography and a recovering method thereof.
This method comprises the liquid chromatograph 11 and solvent recycling device 31 forming a circulation system together. Between the detector 19 possessed by the liquid chromatograph 11 and a solvent first storage tank 12 and/or solvent second storage tank 12 for storing a solvent S1, at least a pressure distillation part 32 formed so as to be controllable in heating to a proper temperature determined from the relation with the boiling point of the solvent that is the component in order to distill a movable phase introduced as the waste liquid W through the detector 19 in an inert gas and a cooling part 45 formed so that the vapor generated in the pressure distillation part 32 can be introduced thereto together with the inert gas followed by cooling and liquefying, and circulated as a regenerated solvent S2 to a solvent storage tank are provided to recovery the regenerated solvent S2 from the waste liquid W. The liquid chromatograph and the solvent recycling device can be made to a non-circulation system.
