Abstract:
To provide an image formation method capable of inhibiting the occurrence of beading and also inhibiting the occurrence of collapse of dot shape.SOLUTION: The method comprises: a liquid composition discharge step of discharging a liquid composition to a surface of a recording medium 2 as droplets each having a volume of 4.5 pL or less, where the liquid composition comprises a polyvalent metal salt, glycerol, water, and a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether compound represented by general formula (1); and an ink discharge step of discharging an ink to the surface of the recording medium 2 as droplets, without heating the recording medium 2 to which the liquid composition has been discharged.
