Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid concentration detection device having higher sensitivity compared with hitherto, and suitable especially for concentration detection of a high-concentration liquid, and a wet image formation device equipped with the liquid concentration detection device.
SOLUTION: Light emitted from a light source 54 is transmitted through a light guide member 53 and emitted from the right-side end face, and reflected by a reflector 55 and a circular cone part 43b of a right-side flange member 43 along with the optical path bent perpendicularly upward. Reflected light is transmitted through a transparent cylindrical member 41 and a toner thin layer 7a formed on the circumferential surface of the cylindrical member, and reaches a light receiving part 58 disposed over the cylindrical member 41. Hereby, the concentration of the toner thin layer 7a formed on the circumferential surface of the cylindrical member 41 can be detected with high sensitivity by using transmitted light without bringing a toner 7 into contact with a light emission face of the light guide member 53 and the light receiving face of the light receiving part 58.
