To solve the problem that a liquid easily leaks out when a liquid container is attached to and detached from an image forming apparatus.
An ink cartridge 1 has: an ink bag 2 storing ink; and a supply port 3 which a hollow needle 101 on the apparatus side is inserted thereinto. As shown in Fig.2, a sealing member 5 is provided in the supply port 3, the sealing member 5 to which the hollow needle 101 is inserted from the apparatus side, and which moves together with the hollow needle 101 relative to the supply port 3 so as to open and close a supply flow path 4. When the ink cartridge is attached to and detached from the apparatus, the hollow needle 101 pushes in the sealing member 5 so as to open the supply flow path 4, and when the hollow needle 101 comes off, the sealing member 5 closes the supply flow path 4.
