Abstract:
To provide a technique capable of grasping a correct liquid amount even when a liquid container containing ink etc., is mounted upside down.SOLUTION: A liquid container comprises a liquid storage part which contains a liquid; a circumferential wall which surrounds the liquid storage part; a liquid supply port which is provided in the circumferential wall and can supply a liquid from the liquid storage part to a liquid introduction part; a first storage device which can be electrically connected to a holder-side terminal through a first contact part, and a second storage device which can be electrically connected to the holder-side terminal through a second contact part. The first contact part and second contact part are provided to the circumferential wall at positions symmetrical with each other across a center axis of the liquid supply port, and even if the liquid container is turned over by 180° on the center axis and mounted on a holder, one of the first contact part and second contact part is connected to the holder-side terminal, so that information on the amount of the liquid is stored in the first storage device and second storage device, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
