PURPOSE: To provide the liquid crystal alignment adhering device which improves the uniformity of the spacing between a TFT substrates and a color filter and eliminates the positional deviation between the TFT substrate and the color filter.

CONSTITUTION: This liquid crystal alignment adhering device has a filter holding gate type arm 1 which holds the color filter 2 on the rear surface of a beam, a holding plate 7 which holds the TFT substrate 3 opposite to the color filter 2, is movable in a vertical direction and has high rigidity, a stage 5 which moves horizontally by holding this holding plate 7 and positions the TFT substrate 3 held by the holding plate 7 relative to the color filter 2 and pushing up means 4 which push up the positioned TFT substrate 3 held by the holding plate 7 and press the TFT substrate 3 to the color filter 2 held on the filter holding gate type arm 1.
