Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a ferroelectric liquid crystal composition which is excellent in orientation, exhibits high contrast and brightness, and high-speed response at room temperature, and has a wide working temperature range by mixing a plurality of specific compounds.
CONSTITUTION: The title composition is obtained by mixing one or more compounds of formula I (R1-2 are each 1-15C alkyl or alkoxy; X and Y are each a single bond, -O-, -COO- or -OCO-; and n and m are each 0-1) and one or more compounds of formula II (R3-4 are each R1).
