To provide a liquid crystal device in which conduction is simply secured without using a mask in securing electric conduction of a conduction terminal part and so on, further in which a deposition angle is freely set and of which the flexibility of a liquid crystal element is heightened and a method for manufacturing the liquid crystal device.
The liquid crystal device is constructed by interposing a liquid crystal layer 50 between a pair of substrates 10, 20. An electrode 9 and a deposited alignment layer 31 disposed on the electrode 9 and constructed with a deposition material as a main component are formed on the inner surface side of at least one substrate out of a pair of the substrates 10, 20. The conduction terminal 202, with at least a part of its surface exposed to the inner surface side of the substrate, is formed on the inner surface side of the substrate equipped with the deposited alignment layer 31. Moreover, a wall part 207 protruding more on the inner surface side of the substrate than the surface of the conduction terminal 202 is formed in the vicinity of the conduction terminal 202.
