Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a liquid crystal display device capable of realizing highly bright display or reducing power consumption by extending a display electrode in the first direction in a display area, extending counter electrodes and a source signal wiring in the first direction, and shraddling them over display areas.
SOLUTION: A plurality of display areas 2a put with display electrodes 2 and counter wirings 1 between are provide in a matrix state in an active matrix substrate 100. A gate signal wiring 3 and a source signal wiring 4 are provided through the circumference of a display area 2. The counter wiring 1 is formed in a stripe state on a insulation film between layers, and the counter wiring 1 and display electrode 2 are arranged so as to be made in parallel to each other in the longitudinal direction. The counter wiring 1 forms the peripheral part of a display area 2a, and arranged at the position where it is not superimpose with be adjacent source signal wiring 4. Further, the counter wiring 1 forms a extended stripe shape while straddling adjacent plural display areas 2a in the longitudinal direction.
