Title:
LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1184400
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel liquid crystal display device which is fairly wide in a visual field angle by depositing a specific black matrix film on front electrodes or glass plate. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device 40 consists of a pair of electrode substrates 41, 42 arranged to face each other by insulating sealants 44, 46 previously determining the spacing therebetween. At least one of these electrode substrates 41, 42 is transparent. A first light emitting layer 47 is formed on the electrode substrate 41. An electric layer 48 is formed or deposited on the light emitting layer 47. The black matrix film 50 is deposited on the front electrode or the glass plate 42 The black matrix film 50 has many small openings 52 therein. The plural openings 52 are used in a pattern form. In such a case, the film 50 is the film 50 formed by coating the substrate with a compsn. consisting of about 1 to 30 wt.% colloidal graphite, about 0.1 to 20 wt.% binder of the film 50 and about 10 to 98 wt.% liquid carrier. The film 50 is about <20 μm in the film thickness.
