To suppress leak current in a pixel transistor due to the influence of multiple reflection light on the surface of a metal wiring in a liquid crystal display device, to reduce the rise in the temperature of a liquid crystal panel and the resistance of the wiring and to prevent the deterioration in the picture quality of a projected image.
In the liquid crystal panel produced by sealing a liquid crystal layer 2 between a driving device substrate 3 on which a pixel transistor 18 and metal wirings 23, 26 are formed and a counter substrate 1 on which a common transparent electrode film 8 and a black matrix film 7 are formed, the black matrix film 7 is composed of a metal film 5 in the entrance side of light having ≥40% reflectance for a light of 380 to 680 nm wavelength and a metal film 6 on the exist side of light having ≤40% reflectance for the light of 380 to 680 nm wavelength. The metal wiring 23, 26 are composed of metal films 21, 24 and low reflectance metal films 22, 25.
