To provide a liquid crystal display device whose transmissivity is improved so that texture is not formed at corner parts of a pixel area.
The liquid crystal display device includes 1st and 2nd substrates, a plurality of common electrodes formed on an internal surface side of one of the 1st and 2nd substrates, a plurality of pixel electrodes formed on the internal surface side of the substrate where the common electrodes are formed, a common electrode line laterally formed connecting the plurality of common electrodes, a pixel electrode line laterally formed connecting a plurality of pixel electrodes, and a liquid crystal layer injected between the 1st and 2nd substrates. In addition, β1-90°>α and β2-90°>α hold, where α is a rubbing angle which is the angle that a reference axis parallel to the common electrodes and pixel electrodes and the long axis of liquid crystal contain, β1 is a common electrode angle that the common electrodes and common electrode line contain, and β2 is a pixel electrode connection angle that the pixel electrodes and pixel electrode line contain.
