To downsize a liquid crystal display device by shortening the length of occupation by connection terminals for connection with an external circuit.
The liquid crystal display device is equipped with: an image display region with a plurality of pixels arranged on a substrate in a matrix; a margin arranged on the periphery of the image display region on the substrate; a plurality of switch circuits to switch signal inputs to respective pixels in a group for each group composed of a unit of a plurality of pixels with time division; and a plurality of connection terminals for connection with the external circuit imparting signals to the plurality of switch circuits; wherein all relations coming from inequality A/nBC are satisfied when a pitch of the plurality of connection terminals is represented by A; a pitch of the plurality of switch circuits is represented by B; a pitch of the plurality of pixels in the image display region is represented by C, and the number of time division in the case in which a signal is sent from one terminal out of the plurality of connection terminals to the plurality of pixels with time division is represented by n (n is a natural number of 2); while the plurality of connection terminals is mounted on the margin on a side of the substrate.
