To provide a liquid crystal display device including a display region with a sensor such as a touch panel incorporated, which comprises a light-blocking layer with a sufficient light-blocking property, small thickness so as not to interrupt liquid crystal injection and not to cause gap unevenness, and a dielectric constant that is high to some extent depending on the characteristic of the sensor to be formed, and provide a process and a material with workability to be formed in a narrow region between pixels and with low cost and high productivity.
A liquid crystal display device with high sensor sensitivity with low cost and high yield is provided by forming a light-blocking layer on a sensor electrode and its periphery with high-dielectric-constant ink by an ink jet process.
