Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of preventing deterioration in the luminance level of an image, or to provide a liquid crystal display device excellent in display quality.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises a liquid crystal layer, a first pixel electrode 22a, a second pixel electrode 22b, and an auxiliary electrode (20a). The first pixel electrode 22a has a first corner part C1, a second corner part C2, and a side edge part (S1), and is input with a first video signal. The second pixel electrode 22b is adjacent to the first pixel electrode 22a with an interval between them in a column direction Y, and is input with a second video signal whose polarity is different from the polarity of the first video signal. The auxiliary electrode (20a) has a first region R1 and a second region R2, and is applied with a voltage whose polarity is the same as the polarity of the first video signal.
