Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce an influence of crosstalk due to capacitive coupling between a light shielding matrix and an address conductor.
CONSTITUTION: A matrix liquid crystal display device where a light shielding matrix 18 in a form of a grid of a conductive material and a pair of address conductors are separated from each other by an insulating layer and are placed on the same plate has a feedback circuit having a high-gain differential amplifier 40, and this feedback circuit is connected to the light shielding matrix 18 and generates a correction voltage, which keeps the light shielding matrix 18 at a preliminarily determined potential, for example, a ground potential, in response to the voltage on the light shielding matrix 18.
