Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make a threshold voltage uniform and to obtain a sharp image which has no irregularity by connecting one pixel electrode to a row electrode with a nearly circular sintered body varistor element. CONSTITUTION:A glass substrate where the row electrode 11 and pixel electrodes 12 are formed is coated with varistor paste by a screen printing method to form five elliptic varistor patterns per one pixel electrode, and the varistor paste is sintered to manufacture the sintered body varistor 13. Namely, the sintered body varistor element is separated into plural parts, so the element can be repaired with a low-power laser, thermal damage due to laser repair is small, and the threshold voltage can easily be adjusted with good reproducibility. Further, the sintered body varistor element can be formed in a nearly circular shape. Consequently, printing of about 100 mum in size can be performed with good reproducibility and even when the screen is made large, a uniform image display is realized.
